About

Michael Tabeling is a sculptor, fine artist and muralist, trusted by the biggest names in entertainment—from Hollywood to homes.

Michael's work blurs the line between fine art and immersive storytelling. With roots in traditional sculpture and a mind wired for building the extraordinary, Michael creates worlds you can walk through, touch, and believe in—whether it’s on stage, on screen, or across a 40-foot wall.

A graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a BFA in Sculpture and Painting, Michael has spent the past decade shaping iconic environments for clients like Disney, Dollywood, Cartoon Network, and the Ron Clark Academy. His hands have helped bring Broadway-caliber magic to life on the traveling Hamilton show, sculpted centerpiece installations for Dragon Con, and transformed bare stages into believable worlds for productions like Scream 7, Aretha, Black Mafia Family, DMZ, Black Lightning, and Big Door Prize.

Michael’s mural work carries the same ambition as his sculptural practice—bold, layered, and deeply considered. He approaches every wall like a canvas with a heartbeat, weaving together symbolism, scale, and story. His murals can be found in everything from high-profile creative studios to community installations, often merging graffiti-style edge with technical finesse.
Sculpting in foam, wood, metal, resin—or whatever the job calls for—Michael brings a mix of raw artistry and sharp execution to each project. He’s led crews, painted skies, built castles, and carved custom characters for everything from Monopoly-themed exhibits to post-apocalyptic cityscapes. He doesn’t just build sets or murals—he builds experiences.

At the core of it all is Michael’s love of making. Making meaning. Making moments. Making magic out of materials most people overlook.
